Teach Me (Book #4 of the Extracurricular Activities Series) by Neve Wilder
While all signs point to this being the last book in the series, I am still curious about Ansel! In either case, if this was the final book in the Extracurricular Activities series, it was a wonderful way to end it. We indirectly learn about Cam in “Want Me.” We meet him briefly when he returns to apologize and share that he is coming back to school in “Try Me.” We also learn how much his history intertwined with Mark and Chet. We befriend him in “Show Me” after he moves in to take up the last roommate spot after Eric and Nate move out (one spot already being taken by Sam), and we finally get to watch him move through his last year of college, two years after he accidentally overdosed and essentially blew up his life as he knew it. All the stories we received about Cam were secondhand (until his heartfelt apology to Mark), but being in his head and seeing how his past threatens his present on an everyday basis makes you find yourself rooting for him and hoping that he can finally be himself, free of judgment, stigma, and everything else that initially drove him down a path of substance abuse.
